I'm Moving...My Blog

I think the two most dreaded words someone can say is...."I'm moving!"

We’ve all been there. A good friend tells us she’s moving and then the second sentence out of her mouth is, “Could you please help”! Well I’m MOVING! My blog that is. And I hate to ask, but I would be so grateful if you’d move with me.

I know it’s a hassle to re-subscribe to my email subscription, or change your RRS feed, or stop by to hit the new ‘follower’ button; but I would be so happy if you did! And I will make the hassle worth it!

Just pop over to

and there is some AMAZING blog candy for sticking with me!

Thank you for your support!

December 25!....Okay, not yet!

The challenge over at Jacksonbelle Embellishments this week was to create a card with no stamping. What a fun challenge if you ask me! I don't know why I went the Christmas route but I just love this Cosmo Cricket paper, so that must have inspired me to go Christmas'y this week.

If you want to play along just upload your card to your blog or your gallery using the keywords JBE066 and be sure to leave a comment on the Jacksonbelle blog so we can find you!

You Light Up My Life - SSC Card

This week's Stamptacular Sunday Challenge was to use 3 brads, 2 different pattern papers and 1 flower. Here's what I came up with for my DT card.

This fabulous image is from the Shine On! Unity stamp set and I paired it with DP from October Afternoon. The cardstock is from PTI and the button and lace are from my craft supply.

This week's sponsor is the Cutting Cafe and the winner receives two items of their choice!! Be sure to checkout the other DT's creations if you haven't already!

It Feels Like Summer....Again!

Well it finally feels like summer again. The weather here hasn't been the best and I think that was reflected in my recent cards. I used lots of browns and nothing looked very summery at all. So with the return of summer I thought I would brighten things up!

I love the sunny papers in this card, they make me smile just looking at them. I used Melissa Frances (green), Imaginisce (yellow) and for the butterfly, Dream Street Papers. The sentimet is from PTI and the pearls on the butterfly are from Basic Grey.

For the "Hi!" card I used Dream Street Paper again and to dress it up I used a note from Making Memories. The fun pink letters are from American Crafts. I think AC Thickers are my most favorite embellishment right now (if you can call letters an embellishment?).

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a happy Saturday!!

Now on to my card for today.

I just love this Star Print stamp set from PTI. You can make everything with this set from a baby card to a masculine card, how versatile is that! I used Fancy Flourishes for the background and on the Top Note, Text Style. The cardstock and twine are also PTI.

Happy Friday and I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!

Happy Anniversary

Happy Thursday everyone! My parents anniversary is coming up so I thought I would make them a card to celebrate. First I must confess I am totally copying the uber talented Dawn McVey by using my vintage frog in the photo. I've had this frog for awhile now and, friend and amazing card maker herself, Charlene, mentioned that using the frog has added that little extra to make her pictures look great, so I thought I would try it out. She was right! I took these photos first without the little guy (a.k.a the frog) and they definitely look so much more interesting with it. Hope you don't mind. Now on to the card!

I used kraft PTI cardstock and stamped one of the images from their Basic Backgrounds: Retro set which I am totally in love with right now! The lovely bird image is from PTI's Bird Watching Additions and I finished the card with that gorgeous SU! ribbon which was given to me by the lovely Charlene.

Thanks for stopping by!

PS. Thank you to everyone taking my poll. I will continue to mix things up but I will definitely add more PTI creations into the mix going forward. :-)

Maximum Fun!

I am so excited to play along in the Unity Guest Designer Challenge for the first time! This month's challenge is to create a card using 1 stamp from your June or July KOTM, 2 pattern papers, and 3 embellishments.

For my stamp I went with the July KOTM and that fabulous pocket image. I stamped the image on some Core'dinations cardstock, stitched around it and distressed it. For my pattern paper I used a sheet from Little Yellow Bicycle's Traveler line and the newspaper ad is from a sheet of Graphic 45. The 3 embellishments include a key from 7 Gypsies, and a travel tag and the sentiment chipboard from Little Yellow Bicycle.

If you don't get Unity's KOTM you must check them out! For only $24/month (plus shipping) you get these amazing stamps delivered to your door each and every month! Plus you get to play along in their Hip Hop Hangover and monthly Guest Designer Challenge. It doesn't get better than that!

Thanks for stoping by!

Let's Get Punchy!

Jacksonbelle Embelishments has a fun Tuesday challenge this week and it's all about using those punches! I went with this fabulous Martha Stewart scallop edge punch, added this fun Basic Grey paper and brad from the Offbeat line, May Arts sheer ribbon and used June KOTM from Unity Stamps.

To play along this week just link your blog in the comment section on the Jacksonbelle blog or upload your card to any gallery using the keyword JBE065.

So Excited To Be Back!!

Hey there!! I am so excited to be back home! The lake was great but there is nothing like being home.

I've been working on a few PTI projects that I want to share. The first is using Raspberry Fizz cardstock with a little Kraft and Dark Chocolate. The background stamp is from the Background Basics: Retro set and the script is from the Text Styles set. I added a PTI button and ribbon as well; and those fabulous letters are from Creative Imaginations.

My second card is using Star Prints from PTI. This is just the sweetest stamp set, I just love it!! The ribbon, button, twin and paper are also all PTI.

And for my final card I used PTI's Fancy Flourishes for the background and Polks Dot Basics on the flower. That super cute crochet flower is from Flowery Bliss on Etsy. You have to check out her store if you love fun appliques.

Thanks for checkin' in! And have a fantastic Monday! See you tomorrow with my DT card for the Jacksonbelle Embellishments Tuesday challenge.

Happy Birthday Kiddo - SSC Card

This week's Stamptacular Sunday Challenge was to create something for a kid and it just so happens that next week we have a 4 year old boy's birthday party to go attend. I just love this You + Me = Happy stamp set from Unity and thought it would make a perfect birthday card and bag. The sentiment and cardstock is from PTI, DP is Cosmo Cricket, ribbon SU! and the buttons are from my craft supply. Sorry the picture is so poor but I didn't have my regular camera.

Our sponsor this week is Paper Makeup Stamps. And here are the links to what the rest of the DT cooked up.

Taking a Poll

Hi there folks! So I was just curious if you guys and gals had any preference of what stamps you like to see in my creations? Are you visiting my blog to see creations from Unity, Papertrey, Elzybells, or do you like to see a mix of images in my creations? I would love to know, so I put up a fun little poll on the right hand side. I truly appreciate your thoughts on this and votes. Many thanks!!

Hugs,

It's a House Party!

Inside Out SSC Card

Hello and happy Sunday! Here's my DT card for this weeks SSC challenge; create something that is decorated on the inside and outside. I decided to create a welcome home card using my May KOTM from Unity, combined with some extra gorgeous DP from Crate Paper, and on the inside I included a key charm from 7 Gypsies.

Here's a look at the inside of the card. (Sorry the lighting on this picture isn't the greatest.)

And because I will be giving this card away to a business associate of my husbands with a little 'New Home Congratulations' gift I also made a little gift bag to accompany the card.

Big thank you to this week's sponsor, Emma from SU! And be sure to check out the other girl’s gorgeous creations!

Special Delivery

I have another Unity card to share. You probably think I don't own any other stamps other than Unity. I do but I am so hooked on Unity right now and find their stamps so inspiring to work with that I just can't stop! I brought a suitcase full of Unity stamps and PTI paper, ribbon and buttons to the lake...you can say it's my stamping survival kit! LOL :-)

This card is using the Unity Love in the Air stamp set and yes, PTI cardstock, ribbon and button. The polka dot background is also the lovely PTI.
Thanks for stopping by! And I hope you're having a wonderfully creative day!
